The partners of the European project CITIES 4.0, Brainport Eindhoven, Leuven MindGate, Turku Science Park Ltd, ESTI, and the Fondazione Pietro Giacomo Rusconi, Villa Ghigi, per l’Innovazione Urbana, published the collection of good practices of the innovative ecosystems of Bologna, Turku, Leuven, and Eindhoven, taking a further important step in the collaborative journey that began at the end of 2022.

The objective of the CITIES 4.0 project - Climate Innovation Through Interactive Ecosystem Summits is to create synergies among the 4 urban ecosystems, which are part of the 100 European Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities by 2030.

As a result of this collaborative and analytical approach, the publication of the good practices aims to disseminate projects and actions implemented in the cities of Bologna, Turku, Leuven, and Eindhoven, offering a collection of virtuous examples that can be replicated in other European cities.

From energy efficient buildings to innovative models of sustainable mobility, better resource management and new systems of governance that involve active citizen participation in developing new climate policies for urban spaces, this collection of good practices emphasizes the need for a multisectoral approach to achieve results that have a positive impact on the population, making every citizen involved in the journey towards climate neutrality.
