Two years after the birth of Opificio Golinelli, the Golinelli Foundation takes another step towards the future with the new Golinelli Arts and Sciences Centre, inaugurated in October 2017. It is a new initiative with an experimental and international purpose, its architectural design entrusted to Mario Cucinella Architects.
Opificio Golinelli, one of the most attractive educational and cultural centres in Italy, is enriched by a new 700 square metre building that adds a strong artistic and symbolic calibre to the citadel located in Via Paolo Nanni Costa 14.
From an architectural point of view, it is a large parallelepiped composed of a closed volume, which constitutes the "heart" of the architecture, and an external metal superstructure.
The Golinelli Arts and Sciences Centre is home to educational, training, research and entrepreneurial activities, closely linked to the Golinelli Foundation's long-term development plan Opus 2065 aimed at supporting young and very young generations in their growth process, with the idea that education is the engine of economic and social development.
